APPLY for this ALL EXPENSE PAID WORKSHOP IN NAIROBI, KENYA with THE GATES FOUNDATION
The Gates Foundation is partnering with the Moth on an initiative to help build more storytellers and influencers around Women’s Economic Power and WEE.
They’ll be running a workshop for 2 days in Nairobi in late February, bringing together women who are looking to build their expertise, power and confidence as storytellers, to be better advocates and communicators about the power of investments in WEE/WEP. The cost of the training, meals, travel, and hotel are fully funded by BMGF/the Moth, so this is at no cost to the participants.
Who should apply for this workshop: Women who have faced and overcome barriers in exploring their opportunities and claiming their economic power. Such as:
women who secured loans or saved up to start or expand their own business;
women who defied family, community or society’s expectations and pursued economic opportunities that enabled them to earn an income;
women who are focused on creative inclusive economic opportunities for other women;
women leaders within savings groups or financial systems, whether formal or informal;
women who received access to financial services (e.g. digital banking through a mobile phone) and how it enabled them to make and control their own money.
